What’s New

This update makes Fifteeen smarter, clearer, and a little easier to trust.

• Apple Intelligence now explains why it is unavailable, whether it is unsupported hardware, setup status, model preparation, or a generation error.
• Long writing sessions are prepared more safely before analysis, using token-aware trimming when available.
• If Apple Intelligence falls back and nothing structured is found, Fifteeen now still saves a basic diary item instead of leaving the review empty.
• Settings now shows Apple Intelligence availability, with a refresh option.
• Settings are now available directly in the app interface for easier access.
• The map now supports search across titles or content, with live highlighting and dimming.
• Map zoom controls were added.
• Saved session notes now lead with the readable “Session Notes” version, followed by the breakdown and original draft.
• Follow-through files are now saved with stronger markers so updates and removals stay in sync.

And yes, the no-editing philosophy remains intact for now. I still cannot tell whether this will cure my need to fix every typo, cause a tiny personal crisis, or finally make me better at typing. I am rooting for the typing.

Kapal+ Health Alerts are here. Offline camera alerts have been expanded into a new Health Alerts section, now with low-storage warnings for your Frigate storage locations.

This update includes:

• New low-storage alerts with per-storage GB thresholds
• Health Alerts now combines camera offline alerts and storage alerts in one place
• Fresh health checks when opening the Health Alerts page, so camera status and storage amounts are up to date
• Improved playback compatibility for some H.265/HEVC event clips, including cameras that produce hev1 tagged video files
• Video playback errors are now shown in a cleaner location instead of covering the video preview
• Smoother live camera snapshots with less bursty loading, better WebP handling, and improved fallback behavior on slower Frigate systems
• More forgiving local connection checks for slower networks, VPNs, and busy Frigate servers
• Improved filter loading so cached camera and label filters are preserved when startup metadata is slow to respond
• Fixed an Activity by Camera text layout issue in System stats
• General polish and reliability improvements for alert handling, playback, snapshots, and connection handling

A sincere thank you to everyone who reaches out with logs, screenshots, camera models, and detailed issue reports. That feedback is a huge part of why I can keep improving Kapal across more real-world Frigate setups. My family will only let me buy so many cameras, so reports from your systems help me fix things I could not reproduce on my own.

New Feature: Timeline (Kapal+)

Timeline is now in Kapal+ as an early release, and I’m genuinely excited to finally ship it. It’s already usable and already useful, and we’re committed to improving it over the next few months based on how you use it.

What this changes for you:

• Quickly jump through your Frigate history with Timeline scrubbing and go straight to event moments, instead of hunting through clips one by one.
• See everything that happened around an event, not just one camera at a time, with Play all cameras at once for much better context.
• Use local network playback where needed (Only on local network) for better reliability in busier environments.
• Turn on settings that match your workflow, like Default zoom, Snap to events, and Group related events, to review events your way.

Apple Watch is here

Daily Petal now comes to Apple Watch, making it easier to check your progress right from your wrist.

New in this update:

• A dedicated Apple Watch app with today’s steps, goal progress, and monthly flower view
• A focused flower page with Digital Crown scrolling through days
• Indoor and outdoor walk tracking from the watch
• Live walk stats including steps, distance, pace, and elapsed time
• New watch complications for quick goal progress at a glance

This update makes Daily Petal more glanceable, more active, and easier to use throughout the day.

Brand new Daily Land widgets are here.

You can now add Tiny Habits widgets to your Home Screen and Lock Screen to watch your world grow throughout the day. Choose between a top-down view or a perspective view with sky and horizon, with progress updating based on your daily goals.

This update also improves the reliability, accuracy, and visual consistency of monthly planet growth, including progress tracking across different month lengths, Health data refresh handling, goal and metric changes, previous-month syncing, sleep tracking, month-end notifications, purchases, widget refreshes, and playback consistency.

History views now better match the main planet view, including lighting, spin rate, stat layout, and sharing exports.

Overall, your planet and widgets should now reflect your habits more reliably, look more consistent across views, and avoid more edge-case issues.

This update improves reliability and keeps movie information fresher throughout the app.

• Improved showtime freshness so movie details and theatre listings stay more current.
• Better notification flow: notification permission is now requested only when you choose to track a movie.

Map

• Added an in-app Map view for Obsidian Markdown folders.
• Drag notes around, pan the canvas, and zoom smoothly.
• See notes grouped by type, including Daily, Sessions, Diary, Reminders, Calendar Suggestions, Ideas, Prompt Responses, People, and Projects.
• Open notes or the full saved folder directly in Obsidian.
• Map only appears when Markdown is selected and the folder contains compatible Fifteeen notes.

What’s New

New in this update: Goal Celebrations

When you hit your daily step goal, Daily Petal now celebrates with a gentle rain of your completed day’s petal the next time you open the app. It’s a small moment to recognize the progress you made.

Bug fixes and improvements:

• Improved Live Activity step updates after locking or reopening the app.
• Improved the Lock Screen Live Activity layout so larger step counts fit better.
• Fixed swipe navigation between the current month and an active workout.

Also included from version 1.6:

Walking Workouts with Live Activities are now available. Tap the walking icon at the top of the app, follow the Health access steps, and track your current steps toward your goal while you walk.

New: Photo Screensaver

Sandar can now turn your Apple TV into a photo slideshow while it keeps watching your Frigate cameras in the background. Choose photos from your Apple TV library, Favorites, Recent photos, or iCloud Shared Albums.

When Frigate detects activity, Sandar automatically switches from the slideshow to the active camera or cameras, then returns to your photos once things clear. It is a little less “security bunker on the wall” and a little more “family-room picture frame that still knows when something is happening.”
